How to Handle Maintenance Requests in this software

Tenants log a problem with photos. You set the status and, if you want, post a job for a tradesperson you pick. We do not employ them or take a cut of their fee.

A simple process you can run

  1. Tenant opens Maintenance and submits the request.
  2. You read it, ask for more photos if needed.
  3. You fix it yourself, or send it to a contractor you already use.
  4. Mark it completed and keep the thread.

Response times are what you promise the tenant — not a SmartRent SLA. Emergencies (gas leak, no heat in winter) are for the tenant to call the right emergency number; the app is a record, not a call centre.
